El Sol Busca Su Sombra
This structure holds 240 pounds of Coal Slag and the trace of an absent, performing body. Part of my interest lays in de-contextualizing household elements and home rituals as a way to direct one’s attention to the essence of an action, in this case the Sisyphean task of kneading. Such is suggestive of our own acts of tracing and erasing, becoming and persisting, remembering and forgetting.
